I am a professor of computer science at Pomona College. My current research interests include network/graph analysis, combinatorial scientific computing, and computer science education. You can find out more about some of my work here.

In Fall 2026 I'm teaching Mathematical Foundations of Computer Science (CSCI 54) and Introduction to Algorithms (CSCI 140). I am also co-teaching Introduction to Computer Science (CSCI 51) with Alexandra Papoutsaki. My evolving best guess at a weekly schedule is something like this.

Other things I do include talking (to just about anyone about just about anything; you are encouraged to come by my office hours, to sign up on the sheet outside my office for a meal, and/or to email me to set up an appointment). When not working I'm often spending time with/on my two children.
